Key Responsibilities
• Calculating all payable hours, commissions, bonuses, and deductions in line with the company and bargaining council requirements.
• Managing electronic timekeeping systems or manually collecting and reviewing timesheets.
• Ensuring employee records are accurate and kept up to date on the system.
• Ensuring compliance with all legislative payroll requirements.
• Investigate all payroll queries and provide line managers with a timely response.
• Providing information and answering employee questions about payroll-related matters.
• Stay abreast with legislative changes as and when they are updated.
• Prepare all payroll reports for weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as the Collective Agreement.
• Ensure the payroll is reviewed and authorized by the relevant Director/General Manager before release.
• Ensure employee's pay slips are submitted on time.
• Ensure filing of all payroll documentation accurately and on time.
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Assist with various deductions such as loans, advances, and garnishee orders.
• Manage deductions for taxes, UIF, levies, and other statutory requirements.
• Load new / terminate members on SAGE VIP Premier
• Proses all leave types and understand the theories
• Deductions
• Compile monthly salary schedules, assess data and proses
• Change bank details
• Costings
• Manage input data via EasyRoster and liaise with managers
• Run and understand reports, not limited to leave, deduction, PSIRA, Garnishee, Loans, bonus and service years
• Manage salary queries and provide feedback on monthly bases
• UI-19, salary schedules, maternity leave, Injury on duty and provident fund claims
• Confirmation of employment
• Manage payslips (print / email)
• Proses Injury on duty claims on online portal
• Maintain WCA and Provident fund data base
• Filing
• ABSA EFT payments
• Weekly cash flows

• SARS EMP201
• Assistants with tenders
• Assist with relevant information needed for BBBEE audit
• Audit preparation
• Proses Warnings on VIP Priemer
• Daily queries
• Pro-rata calculations for all bonus types

• Process and recon staff loans
Experience:
• SAGE VIP Premier
• Advance Excel
• Outlook
• Proven work experience as a Payroll Administrator.
Qualifications:
• A degree/diploma in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting.
Knowledge of following systems will be an advantage:
• PSIRA
• Affinity Health
• NBCPSS
• EasyRoster
• OnsiteCheck
Proven work experience in following will be an advantage:
• Unions
• WCA (Injury on duty online portal)
• Provident Fund
• Thorough knowledge of labour legislation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills are essential
Experience
• 5 – 8 Years of payroll experience in Sage VIP Premier or equivalent in a large payroll department
• Submit required SARS documentation, including EMP201
