Role
First things first: At Airtame it is the QA Engineer's word that decides whether we release and you will be pinnacle in ensuring the product’s success. If you enjoy conscious exploratory testing, love to break things, and want to write a bit of code on the way — this role is for you!The mission of this role is to support us in solidifying our position as the most easy-to-use screen solution for people in organizations. You will specifically get a chance to build and extend our capabilities in the video conferencing space, where we collaborate with all major players in both the video conferencing as well as the AV industry.We have built a combined offering of screen sharing, video conferencing, and digital signage - all managed by our cloud solution - and are continuing to build out our market offering.We're now looking for a talented and passionate Manual QA Engineer, who is inspired to help us build and test new features and capabilities as well as develop further on existing work. As our Manual QA Engineer, you will be working across the entire R&D team supporting our product managers, engineering teams, and tech support to ensure the overall product quality.
You will be testing our different HW products in connection with a multitude of HW Peripherals.
How we envision working together
- In this role you will be working from our HQ in Copenhagen. We have a dedicated test set-up in our office, allowing you to test products in connection with other peripherals
- In Copenhagen we’re working hybrid with all the flexibility you need.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a sparring partner and support to your peer QA Engineers, provide guidance and advice on best practice processes where you can, collaborating with them to identify potential issues and devise effective solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects.
- Become an expert on our entire product range of product offering
- Continuously improve the QA processes and identify areas for growth.
- Own the QA aspect of the whole Software Development Lifecycle on projects, from the ideation stage through feature design, implementation and regression testing.
- Create test design and test documentation for upcoming features.
- Run exploratory testing sessions on existing functionality.
To be successful in this mission, you have:
- 4+ years experience working as QA Engineer with a focus on manual testing
- Experience with testing embedded devices
- Extensive experience with different OSes. (including Windows, Mac, Linux, Chromebook and mobile)
- Proficiency in efficient test design (identify use and mis-use cases, understand risk, do prioritisation).
- Experience with testing functionalities across different platforms and HW devices (e.g. screens, AV peripherals) is an advantage
- Used to working autonomously and being able to translate engineering requirements into a matching test set-up
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Experience with Javascript or Python is a plus
