The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in system integration, particularly with expertise in BigFix for patch management.

Certification in BigFix is highly desirable, demonstrating a deep understanding of the platform. Additionally, the candidate should possess strong proficiency in Windows Server and Linux environments, along with experience in VMware, Azure, AWS, and on-premise server management. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell is essential for automation tasks. Experience with CI/CD pipelines is also a key requirement for this role.

Responsibilities:


  • Utilize BigFix for efficient system management across diverse systems.
  • Implement and maintain systems across Windows Server and Linux environments.
  • Manage VMware, Azure, AWS, and on-premise servers effectively.
  • Develop and maintain scripts in Python and/or PowerShell for automation tasks.
  • Collaborate with teams to implement CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation schedule to address system issues outside regular hours.
  • Engage with multiple teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of systems.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancements.
  • Proactively troubleshoot and resolve system faults and inefficiencies.
  • Prioritize and complete assigned duties expeditiously and within approved windows.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects at the same time.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively within a team, while also taking the initiative to lead when needed.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly and accurately (both verbally and in writing) while maintaining a professional demeanor in alignment with the No Jerks Allowed philosophy.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Extensive experience with BigFix and associated components (Relevance, Patch, Inventory, SWD) is essential.
  • Certification in BigFix is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Windows Server and Linux environments.
  • Experience with VMware, Azure, AWS, and on-premise server management.
  • Strong scripting skills in Python and/or PowerShell.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation schedule.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
