Pumpkin is looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Marketing Manager to spearhead our Veterinary Channel. In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy to position Pumpkin as a trusted partner to veterinary hospitals and veterinary professionals. 

This will be a hybrid position, with a minimum requirement of 2-3 days a week in the New York City office.


What You'll Do:


  • Develop a multi-channel marketing strategy, including both print and digital, to reach and engage pet owners through the help of veterinary hospitals across the country.
  • Collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team from sales, design, product, and engineering, leading the end to end go-to-market strategy for all veterinary campaigns from market research, positioning, roadmap development, training, to launch strategies.
  • Utilize data and qualitative feedback from veterinary hospitals and pet owners to uncover insights, identify opportunities, and iterate on campaigns with the goal of driving continuous improvements.
  • Act as veterinary professionals’ biggest advocate through developing a deep understanding of their personas, pain points, and journeys, ensuring their needs are at the forefront of every decision
  • Monitor and report on veterinary marketing KPIs to stakeholders and leaders, fostering transparency and accountability while driving continuous improvement
  • Manage and negotiate pricing with vendors for print marketing assets

What We're Looking For:


  • 7+ years of experience in B2B marketing, preferably within the healthcare or pet care industry
  • Demonstrated understanding of multi-disciplinary marketing best practices with a proven track record developing and executing successful multi-channel marketing campaigns that drive lead generation and brand awareness.
  • Extensive experience working with and launching marketing campaigns through a sales team
  • Proven track records in leading cross-functional projects with exceptional communication and collaboration skills, effectively aligning stakeholders across cross-functional teams where teamwork and adaptability are paramount
  • Strategic thinking abilities to translate high-level business objectives and pain points into actionable insights
  • Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making, proficient in leveraging metrics, KPIs, and user insights to inform product strategy and measure success with proficiency in marketing analytics tools
  • Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where sharing ideas, embracing diverse perspectives, and adapting to changing priorities are essential for success
  • Genuine passion for animals and a deep understanding of the bond between pets and their families. Your dedication to improving the lives of pets and their owners will be at the core of everything you do at Pumpkin
  • Proficiency in marketing automation platforms

  • Strong understanding of the veterinary landscape and the challenges faced by veterinary practices

  • Track record of working with designers and creating design briefs. 
  • Experience in the pet insurance or veterinary industry

The compensation for this position ranges from $102,000- $135,000 (annually). Compensation may vary outside the listed range, based on a number of factors including but not limited to location, qualifications, performance, skills, and experience. The compensation range listed is just one component of Pumpkin’s total compensation package for employees. Total compensation packages, depending on the position, may also include incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, and other short or long-term incentives.

If hired, employees will be in an ‘at-will position’ and Pumpkin reserves the right to modify compensation (as well as any other discretionary payment or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
