Responsibilities:
Conduct Investigations: Initiate and lead investigations into security breaches, thefts, fraud, vandalism, or any incidents that could compromise the safety and security of our clients or their assets.Collect Evidence: Gather relevant information, physical evidence, and documents necessary for investigations. This may involve reviewing CCTV footage, conducting interviews, examining records, and collaborating with relevant stakeholders.Analyze Information: Evaluate evidence and information obtained during investigations to identify patterns, root causes, and potential risks.
Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to draw conclusions and make recommendations.Report Writing: Prepare accurate and detailed reports documenting investigation findings, including analysis, interviews, evidence collection, and conclusions. Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of investigative reports.Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders such as law enforcement agencies, legal teams, and insurance companies. Provide support and expert guidance to ensure investigations are conducted effectively and efficiently.Security Assessments: Assist in conducting security assessments, including vulnerability assessments and risk analyses, to identify areas of concern and recommend appropriate preventive measures.Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training sessions and awareness programs on security practices, prevention techniques, and incident response protocols to enhance the overall security culture within the organization.Compliance: Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements pertaining to investigations, handling and preservation of evidence, and privacy considerations.Stay Updated: Continuously monitor emerging security threats, industry trends, and investigative techniques to stay updated on best practices.
Apply new knowledge and technologies to improve investigation processes and outcomes.Testify: Provide expert testimony when required, in legal and disciplinary proceedings, based on the findings of the investigations conducted.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field.Proven experience in conducting investigations, preferably in a security-related field.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.Strong verbal and written communication skills, including report writing and presentation abilities.Proficiency in using various investigative tools, techniques, and technology.Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices related to investigations and security.Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.High level of professionalism, ethics, and integrity.Certification in investigatory practices is a plus (e.g., Certified Fraud Examiner, Professional Certified Investigator).
