About the Role


We are hiring a Senior Product Marketing Manager, Consumer to report to our VP of Growth. This is an on-site role based in our Brooklyn, New York office.✅ Target base salary of $185,000 - $210,000 + bonus and a competitive equity package❤️ Unlimited PTO, with full health, vision, dental coverage📍 Brooklyn, New York🥙 Daily $20 lunch and $25 dinner stipend💪 In office state-of-the-art gym access in our beautiful office building, Annual Citi Bike Membership

What does the role look like?


You’ll be joining Whop as a Senior Product Marketing Manager, User, directly supporting our VP of Growth. The ideal candidate will possess an exceptional balance of analytical, communication, and organizational skills, with a strong desire to build in a fast-paced, ambiguous start-up environment and drive operational improvements.The primary objective of the Sr. Product Marketing Manager - User is to drive product positioning that supports acquisition, activation, and monetization strategies. This role will focus on understanding consumer needs, developing compelling narratives, and executing go-to-market plans to achieve growth and retention goals.

Your First 90 Days:


  • Within 30 days: You will deliver clear positioning for each of the prioritized verticals and drive a mapping exercise of user personas with prioritized verticals.
  • Within 60 days: You will kick off a product marketing positioning initiative with a defined value proposition based on consumer research and drive hypotheses to increase activation rates in partnership with the User PM.
  • Within 90 days: You will own the overall positioning of Whop's product surface areas and develop detailed consumer insights that inform product development and future marketing strategies.

Who you are


  • You thrive in an environment where market and customer feedback is essential.
  • You have owned the GTM of key features serving multiple audiences and driven subsequent activation rates for those features.
  • You have crafted compelling product narratives and messaging that target key user personas.
  • You have experience in successfully launching and scaling consumer products with measurable impact on key performance metrics.
  • You are experienced in working with tools such as Jira, Linear, Google Analytics, Iterable or other CRM tech stacks, and Metabase/Tableau/Sigma or similar dashboarding tools.
  • You have experience with CMS tools.

What you will be doing


  • Developing and executing go-to-market strategies: You will elevate us from basic execution to having clear user personas, motivations, and value propositions in user acquisition, activation, and engagement by creating and implementing effective marketing campaigns.
  • Driving consumer research and insights: You will identify key drivers of user behavior and influence product development and PR efforts through your findings.
  • Managing cross-functional marketing programs: You will oversee the day-to-day operations of integrated marketing campaigns across various channels.
  • Onboarding Improvements: You will drive activation strategies in partnership with the User PM and aim to improve discoverability.
  • Focusing on key initiatives: You will influence activation and monetization in partnership with Growth Marketing Channel owners, Product Design, and the User PM.

Qualifications


  • 7+ years of Product Marketing (PMM) experience across multi-faceted products, with a strong track record of launching and scaling successful products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to synthesize complex data sets and information into actionable insights and process enhancements.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Strategic thinking skills, with a track record of proactively finding solutions to ambiguous and/or complex problems.
  • Previous involvement in cross-functional collaboration, particularly with Executives from Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams.
  • Preference for a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
