The Role
We are looking for an Associate Director, Analytics Engineering to join our fast-growing Data Strategy & Analytics (DSA) team here at Wpromote. In this role, you will lead a team of Analytics engineering experts to grow our clients’ marketing performance goals by implementing best-in-class analytics tracking. You will oversee a work queue that services all clients at Wpromote, and lead collaborative projects with digital marketing channel teams to create holistic tracking solutions for clients.

At Wpromote, pay ranges are subject to change and are based on specific market medians for similar jobs according to third-party salary benchmark surveys. Individual pay within that range can vary due to skills, experience, and available budget. The total compensation package for this role will include benefits (listed above) and an annual performance bonus.This role has an associated annual target bonus component which is paid out based on a number of factors which include Company performance, department performance, and individual performance. You Will Be
- Managing and mentoring a team of Analytics Engineers servicing the enterprise, large growth, and emerging digital client portfolios
- Training and coaching up the team by reviewing deliverables to ensure quality assurance checks and best practices are in place
- Monitoring team bandwidth and new business to advocate for the appropriate amount of staff to effectively service our client portfolio
- A point of escalation when client challenges are present and providing guidance to the team
- Responsible for scoping projects and providing high-level oversight to completion
- Partnering with DSA leadership and Technical Project Management to design processes to efficiently deliver cohesive DSA services across technical teams to clients and internal stakeholders from our support queue
- Overseeing, extending functionality, and ensuring the overall health of clients' event tracking infrastructure
- Supporting medium-to-advanced client and server-side tracking solutions in tag management systems such as Google Tag Manager and Adobe Launch to improve data accuracy, privacy compliance, and performance across different platforms
- Auditing Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics Platform implementations for accurate reporting
- Identifying and resolving data quality issues across a variety of data sources
- Keeping up on the latest industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the analytics engineering tech space, and proactively communicating these to internal and external audiences
You Must Have
- 5+ years being client-facing, within an Advertising Agency or similar client environment
- 3+ years leading a team of 3+ individuals
- 5+ years working with tag management systems including any of the following: GTM, Segment, Tealium, Adobe Launch
- 5+ years working inside Google Analytics and/or Adobe Analytics
- Tagging proficiency in different frameworks
- Hands-on experience with APIs, server-side tracking (sGTM, CAPI) and privacy tools (OneTrust, Cookiebot)
- Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and SQL
- Familiarity with different Digital Marketing Ad platforms and Digital Analytics tools
- Thought leadership in the digital marketing atmosphere
- Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to understand the technical detail behind data utilization for digital marketing and the ability to explain it simply to non-technical audiences
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to work efficiently across multiple teams, clients, and timelines simultaneously
