Your Job
The Head of Legal will oversee all legal aspects of the business, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, managing legal risks, and providing strategic legal advice to support Sparteo's growth and operations.To specify
Operational Legal Management
- Monitor legal risks in business operations, provide timely updates and solutions.
- Ensure the company's compliance with national and international privacy regulations, including GDPR (ROPA,…). Collaborate with the DPO and take charge of the internal aspects of compliance monitoring.
- Assist teams during RFPs, negotiate and manage all contracts, including the development of standard contract templates and the review of third-party agreements.
- Collaborate with the product team to ensure all new features outlined in our contract are covered and to foresee any potential legal risks that may emerge.
- Develop and implement dispute resolution strategies to minimize legal exposure, collaborating with specialized law firms for litigation.
- Respond to each new adverse event with structural adjustments to our contracts and processes, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Assist the executives in decision-making.
Service legal Strategy and Management
- Create, lead and develop the legal service. Currently, we are working in partnership with 2 lawyers.
- Develop and implement the legal strategy aligned with Sparteo’s business objectives, focusing on privacy and innovation.
Your profile for this job
We are looking for someone who:
- Has at least two years of experience in the Ad Tech industry, demonstrating deep understanding and expertise in managing contractual agreements with publishers, SSPs, DSPs, and data providers, as well as a profound grasp of privacy regulations, including GDPR.
- Possesses international experience, with a broad understanding of legal practices across different jurisdictions.
- Is fluent in English, capable of effective communication and handling legal documentation. Proficiency in French is a plus.
What would be a strong plus:
- Experience in team management and establishing legal teams, showing the ability to lead and develop a legal department.
