Role Accountabilities:
- Effectively creates, maintains, and executes a structured business development funnel and qualified prospective customer pipeline utilizing CRM to ensure successful business practices to meet and exceed company revenue, spread, and load count growth goals to maximize margin while converting new business opportunities.
- Set and lead internal onboarding meeting(s)
- Communicate effectively with all internal stakeholders and team members to best guide and formulate the appropriate solution for the customer.
- Introduce Customer & Set Strategy for RFP Response.
- Gather all relevant information to quote effectively, quote using TCW pricing tools and deliver rate to customer.
- Effectively onboard new customers to the organization and communicates, navigates, and transitions customers successfully from the business development team to the customer success management team within the customer lifecycle timeline outlined.
- Understand, embrace, and seek ways to further differentiate Tucker in identified industries and niches that are “sticky” and profitable, solidifying Tucker as a leader within our specified verticals and core competencies.
- Ensure in accordance with our quality management system that all applicable procedures and processes are executed properly to meet our quality standards, customer complaints or CAPAs are resolved, completed according to process, and delivered back to the customer as requested.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively communicates and presents Tucker’s value proposition to prospective clients and new opportunities and are fully trained and fluent in the language, terms, and methodology in selling these niches to maximize profitability and market share for the company.
- Responsible for initiating and managing the company’s 30/60/90 review process to evaluate, strategize, and make recommendations to key stakeholders and the internal team on future approaches within the customer lifecycle.
- Consistently utilize pricing tools and methodologies to bid on opportunities and provide real-time feedback on wins, losses, strategy adjustment, and where margins are compressed, facilitate resolution to optimize the long-term relationship and partnership with our customer.
- Utilize lead generation tools, customized reporting, and market trends to identify new business opportunities that support Tucker’s overall strategy and work towards achieving the desired revenue, spread, and load count growth goals.
- Effectively gather and analyze competitive data, market trends, and customer insights to best serve the overall partnership and ultimate profitability for the company.
- Ensure as individuals, each team member remains maximally productive, taking proactive measures with their manager to avoid idle time and reduce waste while following all documented processes and work instructions pertaining to their role.
- Adopt to ongoing continual improvements of the business operations to consistently meet or exceed strategic goals o Champions, promotes, and inspires core values, strategic goals, company initiatives and culture through internal and external channels and key stakeholders. Gathers all relevant information to establish credit and collaborates with Credit team and actively assists credit and collections specialist via direct collections activity when escalation is needed for delinquent accounts.
- Collaborate with VPBD to prepare for audit and attending customer audits in person as needed and when possible, to gain a better understanding of the customer and their requirements.
- Collaborate with OEM, CX and Capacity when occurrences in freight transaction management are a potential threat or opportunity to the customer and on issues impacting Tucker’s ability to meet customers’ expectations and/or customer’s relationship.
- Collaborate with Team Leads, CX, and Capacity when occurrences in freight transaction management are a potential threat or opportunity to the customer.
- Collaborate with Marketing to deliver market intelligence to internal team members and external customers/prospects.
- Collaborate with Marketing to optimize customer referral program.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of industry experience
- 5 years’ experience working in sales.
- Portfolio Management $1million+
- Proficiency in MS Office and aptitude to learn other related technologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Strong negotiation skills
Preferred Skills:
- College Degree
- CRM/HubSpot Experience
- TMS Experience
- CTB (Certified Transportation Broker)
