This role shall be support the engineering team in project technical due diligence, power applications and permits, interaction with Govt.
agencies for various permits, onsite technical project management on the engineering team. This position reports to the Director of Engineering and has a hybrid schedule (onsite/office/home) involving travel to various cities in Japan ( 50% of the time ).
Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate & co-ordinate with project partners (Design partners, Contractors, Consultants, Local Authorities) along with internal departments to understand ongoing project issues and provide resolution.
- Provide technical information on government regulations while developing new projects by interacting with various government agencies & partners.
- Co-ordinate & provide documentation support for various project related permit applications and responses.
- Effectively communicate with Project Management team on revising schedules as per onsite conditions.
- Co-ordinate inspections and onsite deliveries for various Owner furnished equipment.
- Support the Operations Team during and after Project handover.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
- Work Experience in Hyperscale Data Center Design & Construction projects in Japan.
- Communicate effectively in Japanese & English languages, strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of Electrical & Mechanical systems in a Data Center.
- Familiarity with using AutoCAD.
