The primary focus of this role is to identify new business opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, and drive the sales of our chemical products and solutions to oil field service companies.
This position requires a strong technical background in chemical applications within the oil and gas industry and a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth and market share for chemical products within the oil field services sector.
- Identify and target potential clients, including oil field service companies, drilling contractors, and production companies.
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, actively pursuing leads, and converting them into sales opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations to key decision-makers.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering technical expertise, product recommendations, and addressing any concerns or inquiries.
- Conduct regular client visits, attend industry conferences, and participate in networking events to expand the customer base and increase market penetration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical experts and operations, to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project execution.
- New Product Development and Market Expansion:
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and customer demands to identify opportunities for new product development or market expansion.
- Work closely with the research and development team to evaluate, develop, and launch new chemical products that meet market needs.
- Conduct market assessments and competitive analysis to identify gaps and potential areas for growth.
- Provide feedback from clients and the market to guide product enhancements and innovation.
- Sales Forecasting and Reporting:
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts and track progress against sales targets, providing regular reports to management.
- Utilize CRM software to maintain up-to-date customer information, track sales activities, and generate sales reports.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments, providing timely insights and recommendations to drive sales growth
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Petroleum Engineering, or a related technical field. MBA is a plus.
- Proven track record of success in business development and sales, specifically in the oil field services industry, preferably in chemical sales.
- Strong technical knowledge of chemical applications within the oil and gas industry, including drilling, completions, production, and well stimulation.
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to close deals and meet or exceed sales targets.
- Strong understanding of the oil field services market, customer segments, and competitive landscape.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish long-term relationships with clients.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing sales opportunities.
- Strong business acumen, including financial analysis, market research, and strategic planning.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
