cBEYONData is seeking a Budget Application Developer to join our team supporting an implementation of software that improves Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) activities for a federal customer. Candidates should have familiarity with the Federal budgeting/planning process, budget-related analysis, automation, data analytics and experience with implementations. This is a full-time position on a multi-year contract that will allow for remote work.
The Budget Application developer should have full-stack capabilities and expertise over front-end and back-end development. In addition, be able to collaborate with other tech-leads, management, and stakeholders across the organization to design and build the software solution for the customer, analyze business requirements, and translate user needs effectively. To be successful in this role you should have engineering and design knowledge, experience with prototype design process, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
The ideal candidate will be highly innovative, possess the ability to problem-solve, and work well within a team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist team with defining customer business processes and requirements.
- Determine product specifications and build out capability to the solutions.
- Participate in each stage of the development lifecycle (analyze, design, implement, test, deploy and maintain) and take full ownership and responsibility of work.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional team members in different time zones.
- Participate / perform requirement reviews, design reviews, peer code-reviews, etc.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues on demand.
- Develop program logic for new applications and modify existing applications in support of continuing operations.
- Analyze, define, and document requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware, and operating system environments.
- Code, test, debug, and document new or existing programs to optimize performance and reliability.
- Work with user departments to resolve specific problems, often requiring changes in application design, individual programs, specific capabilities, or application constraints.
- Analyze and estimate feasibility, costs, time, and compatibility with other programs and systems.
- Understand project goals and requirements, develop situations, and drive project to completion.
Requirements:
- Technical knowledge required: SAP BPC or SAC, VBA, JAVA Script and CSS/HTML
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required); active security clearance a plus
Highly Desirable:
- 5-8 years of experience in a similar role with experience developing and maintaining production-grade software
- 2+ years working on cloud-based or on-demand software solutions
- Excellent SQL skills
- Experience with SAP products and technologies such as BW, HANA, ECC, and S/4
