WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: 

Fors Marsh is seeking a candidate who will provide full-time support to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and/or DHS sub-agencies. This role requires a strategic-minded Consultant to join our management consulting firm. The successful candidate will provide support to clients in developing and implementing strategic plans that enhance organizational effectiveness and mission success.

*This position is a contingent hire, meaning it is contingent on Fors Marsh winning an upcoming proposal. The interview process will be the same as our standard process, the offer letter (should we decide to move forward) will serve as a letter of commitment.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Strategic Planning: Facilitate the development and implementation of strategic plans for federal clients, ensuring alignment with their mission, vision, and long-term goals.  
  • Policy and Program Analysis: Conduct detailed policy and program analysis to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for strategic initiatives.  
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with federal agency leaders, program managers, and other stakeholders to gather input, build consensus, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.  
  • Performance Measurement: Develop and implement performance measurement frameworks to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of strategic initiatives.  
  • Change Management: Support change management initiatives related to strategic planning. Provide guidance and support to ensure smooth transitions and adoption of new strategies.  
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with strategic initiatives and develop mitigation strategies to address them.  
  • Project Management: Oversee the execution of strategic projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in strategic planning and execution within federal agencies. 

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Political Science, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in project management support and communications strategy/strategic planning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and critically.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in change management and risk management is a plus.
  • U.S. work eligibility required for this position due to our federal contract requirement.
  • Active security clearance within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) agency or active Secret/Top Secret Clearance.

Salary: $75,000-$92,000
