Description
Network Engineer
Astor & Sanders, an IT solutions provider located in McLean, VA, is currently seeking exceptional candidates for a Network Engineer experienced to assist our client with providing after-hours Level 3 network support. This position is hybrid onsite in Ogden, UT.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues. Provide Level 3 routing and switching support
- Provide Support for BareMetal setups (network device refreshes)
- Monitor incoming tickets and take the appropriate action, including updates and closures
- Provide “state of the network” status reports throughout the shift
- Troubleshoot VPN access tickets
- Monitor and open tickets for selected network events
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements
Experience:
- 3+ years of IT experience in network, infrastructure and communications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering or equivalent
- Providing Level 3 routing and switching support at an enterprise level
- Troubleshooting WAN and LAN network issues with connectivity
- Excellent time management, scheduling, and organizational skills
- Ability to work well independently or in a team setting
- Technical certifications including Security + and CCNA a plus
