Procon Consulting is seeking a Mechanical Engineer. The candidate will have responsibilities that include but not limited to construction, design/build, architecture and engineering, space management, facilities management, real estate, and leasing of complex construction projects. This role requires 5-10 years of experience in construction management on projects for construction, mechanical systems, interior renovations, upgrades or new fit-outs. The ideal candidate will posses the following skills and requirements:
Qualifications & Skills
- At least 5 years’ experience as a Mechanical Engineering Technician.
- BA or BS degree in a construction, architecture, or engineering related field is required.
- Background in Mechanical Engineering is required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Industry Project software packages to include but not limited to latest versions of Microsoft Project, Primavera, AutoCADD, Revit, Prolog, etc.
- Relevant experience includes, but is not limited to, a comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles and analytical techniques in order to support complex engineering assignments relating to civil engineering disciplines.
- Shall have experience in DoD project programming and development of programming documents (e.g. DD 1391s) and in gathering data to solve complex technical problems and be able to follow established project related procedures and complete established project milestones.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications, write scopes of work, interpret contract terms and conditions, working knowledge of CPM scheduling, communication skills, intermediate computer skills and Leadership skills.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Develop Task Order requirements and acquisition packages for government use.
- Assist in the execution of 21 CES FSRM projects.
- Perform all required PMTL data entry for assigned projects.
- Coordinate with customers, facility managers and other governmental personnel, as necessary, to define project requirements, ensure compliance with Federal, State, local and Air/Space Force regulations, prepare Statements of Work (SOW), develop cost estimates, and other components of the acquisition package for government approval and submission.
- Assist government and/or the design programmers in preparing the scopes of the projects.
- Assist in identifying the extent of repairs and alterations work required at the facilities, based on thorough investigations and field inspections of the conditions of the buildings, systems, and an understanding of future uses of the facilities.
- Assist in identifying the physical parameters of facilities to satisfy government's current construction needs based on Federal, state and local laws, codes, zoning ordinances, and site configurations.
