Position Summary:
The Sales Operations Analyst oversees the day‐to-day financial operations of Idera's datatools division. This person is responsible for tracking financial performance against a plan, analyzing business performance, and helping senior management make tactical and strategic decisions based on data. You’ll make an immediate impact on the organization by creating actionable financial analysis that ultimately drives business decisions. Given the nature of the role, you will work closely with all of our functional leads to build reports, analyze data, and provide recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Your mission is to ensure we are performing to plan through diligent analysis of financial results and trends, turning this data into actionable recommendations grounded in business decisions
- Report on financial performance including key SaaS KPI metrics and identify new business trends to present to the leadership team
- Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans to identify strengths and weaknesses within the business
- Create ad hoc analyses in order to assist the Customer Success, Marketing, Technical Support, and Product Management teams with making strategic business decisions
- Assist in month-end close processes by tracking 3 rd party vendor expenses, various FX rate activities, and verifying commissions earned by our Sales team
- Monitor daily payments, apply transactions to appropriate invoices, and work with our Customer Success team to resolve certain customer payment issues
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience working in technical operations and/or finance (preferably in B2B SaaS)
- Extremely detail-oriented self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Must thrive on receiving an end-state and figuring out the “how” that gets us to our goal
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Experience querying data with MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience with technology platforms for a remote staff (shared drives, Teams, Zoom, etc.)
