Join LearnUpon, where we work together as a friendly, supportive team who, most importantly, like to have fun.As a Software Engineer in our Engineering group, you will be responsible for the delivery of features, services, enhancements, and fixes of LearnUpon’s core product. You’ll be participating in the development of a scalable, best-in-class LMS and you’ll strengthen the great company culture that we have in LearnUpon.Our current tech stack is:
- Angular, AngularJS, VanillaJS
- Ruby on Rails, Golang, Kafka
- MySQL, Redis, TimescaleDB
- AWS S3, SNS, SES
- EFK, Prometheus
What will I be doing?
- Delivering solutions that enable our engineering teams to deliver features seamlessly.
- Collaborating closely with other engineering teams when required in order to maintain the integrity of the LU platform.
- Actively improving the level of craftsmanship in our code and designs.
- Driving impact and innovation by designing, building and shipping software at scale.
- Mentoring and onboarding new or less experienced colleagues.
What skills do I need?
- 2+ years of experience in software design and development in an object-oriented programming language such as Ruby, C#, Java.
- Can appreciate technology agnostic solutions for a clear company vision.
- Experience with understanding and implementing Agile-focused best practices.
- Experience building highly-available, scalable applications in an online, nearline, and offline environment.
- Experience with relational-databases and query performance.
- Excellent communication skills.
