How You'll Help:
The Manager, Product Marketing will be responsible for supporting the Senior Director of Product Marketing to operationalize the product marketing function. A successful candidate will need to understand intimately the details and nuances of the market and buyer personas. Responsibilities will include product positioning, sales messaging development and tool creation, competitive analysis, among others. This role will coordinate closely with digital marketing, product management, sales and the CRM teams to ensure external messaging is aligned, sales teams are armed with appropriate tools and that we are meeting the needs of our clients and the market.
This role will gain experience in various product marketing tasks, including writing positioning and messaging, launching new products and features, talking to customers, and enabling the sales team to sell successfully. Critical to this role will be someone who is process-driven, proactive, and who possesses excellent writing, communication and relationship management skills.
What You Will Do:
- Product Positioning & Messaging: Develop buyer personas and positioning for the assessment & credentialing line of business and support the senior director in creating the same for other lines of business
- Product Launches: Manage and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies for new and existing product initiatives including developing buyer personas, product positioning, launch strategy and sales enablement.
- Sales Enablement Tools & Training: Support sales through sales tools, training and market expertise to ensure their ability to effectively position and sell products.
- Content Development: Work with the Senior Director and digital marketing team to provide content for various activities at all stages of the funnel, including thought leadership content and case studies.
- RFPs: Manage the RFP process for all lines of business.
- Competitive: In partnership with product management, develop a process for tracking the competition, which is reflected in our positioning, and arms the sales team with tools and training.
You Will Be a Good Fit For This Role If You Have:
- Bachelors degree preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience relative to marketing
- 3-5 years of B2B marketing experience, product marketing experience preferred
- Experience in the higher education space is preferred
- Strong time management and project management skills
- Experience working with and collaborating with product and sales teams
- Strong collaborator with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Marketing Automation softwares; Hubspot and Salesforce preferred
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Location:
HelioCampus has two locations, Bethesda, MD and Chapel Hill, NC. This specific role is primarily remote, with occasional travel to an office or client site
