As our Senior Scrum Master, you will lead complex Scrum implementations and mentor lesser experienced Scrum Masters while ensuring the alignment of Agile practices with organizational objectives. You will act as a coach and facilitator to multiple teams, driving continuous improvement initiatives and fostering a high-performing Agile environment.
This is a remote position, with preference to East Coast candidates. 

Responsibilities:


  • Lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Ensure team members understand project objectives, focusing on cross-functional accountability, teamwork, and iterative processes toward well-defined goals.
  • Mentor and coach less experienced Scrum Masters and team members on Agile practices and principles.
  • Facilitate productivity by setting up meetings and removing blockers that obstruct the team’s sprint goals or performance.
  • Protect the team from outside influences to ensure the team remains focused on priorities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across multiple teams, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
  • Facilitate retrospectives to identify improvement opportunities to optimize velocity and quality while mitigating risks.
  • Serve as the liaison between the Product Owner, Lead Engineer/development team, and senior management to ensure all milestones and requirements are met.
  • Partner with senior management within Technology to develop best practices, process enhancements, strategic planning to increase velocity and overall team effectiveness.
  • Partner with the Product Owner to ensure backlog items are prioritized based on business value and ready for the team.
  • Develop and track key performance metrics for teams, using data to drive continuous improvement and Agile practices refinement.
  • Track the overall team’s progress and routinely communicate/report to senior management.
  • Ensure all Scrum teams follow defined policies and procedures for consistent results across teams.
  • Enforce process and policies, including timesheets and ADO maintenance.
  • Identify risks and impediments to sprint/project deliverables and work towards mitigation and proactive escalation.
  • Help new hires with process adoption and maintain process documentation as it evolves.
  • Coordinate with Welcome Team and Customer Experience PMs, including release planning and implementation support.

Requirements:


  • 5+ years of relevant experience in software development execution using Agile methodology.
  • Advanced Scrum Master Certification, required (e.g., Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM), Professional Scrum Master II (PSM II)).
  • Experience in mentoring and coaching teams, with a proven track record of driving continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in setting and producing meaningful sprint metrics to track, interpret, and course-correct based on data.
  • Experience with ADO, or similar tools for tracking and managing development work.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work well with cross-functional teams and influence at all levels of the organization.
