Life at BRICK Education Network

OUR STORY BRICK (Build Responsible, Intelligent and Creative Kids) is a school management organization founded by six visionary teachers dedicated to building and managing high-quality public schools for the neediest children and addressing the elements of poverty that impede academic excellence. We believe a child's zip code should not determine his or her educational attainment, and that a school, working in partnership with its community, can serve as a gateway to opportunity. BRICK schools work alongside community leaders and organizations to address the many challenges that kids growing in poverty face such as hunger, lack of health care, poor housing, lack of resources, etc. Only when we address the needs of the whole child, will we be able to break the cycle of poverty and transform the lives of individual children and whole neighborhoods. OUR MISSION The BRICK mission is to turnaround high-poverty schools by implementing proven systems to put all children on a positive life trajectory and consequently ending generational poverty. In the five years since BRICK Academy launched its first school turnaround effort, there has been significant improvement in student academic performance, attendance rates and community engagement.
