Description
The Chief of Staff (CoS) to the CEO is a strategic and versatile executive role, designed to support the CEO in leading Sinch through significant transformation and change. This role is integral to the Global Leadership Team, ensuring that the Sinch vision and strategic priorities are effectively communicated and implemented across the organization. The CoS serves as a trusted advisor to the CEO and will have the gravitas and flexibility to fill gaps as the business may dictate. Over time, the CoS will be asked to own and lead strategic programs and discrete projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Executive Support
- Act as a strategic advisor and confidant to the CEO, providing insights and recommendations on key business decisions leveraging their own observations and interactions with other GLT members.
- Coordinate with Executive Assistant (EA) to ensure that meeting agendas and pre-reads are available. Reviews materials and synthesizes the key points ahead of time for most effective use of meeting time.
- Attend key meetings that the CEO attends. When a commitment is made, the CoS tracks and follows up to conclusion ensuring the intended business outcomes are achieved.
- Formulate the strategic agenda of the GLT. Planning of GLT activities, including annual processes with the aim of ensuring key deliverables that require advanced thinking, preparation and coordination are well known in advance.
- Assist in the preparation of board meetings, leadership meetings, and key presentations, including content, messaging, formatting, etc.
- Act as an integrator connecting workstreams across the enterprise to avoid silos.
2. Leadership and Coordination
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and ensure alignment of efforts towards the company’s strategic goals.
- Create space to test new ideas and solve problems.
- Serve as a liaison between the CEO, Group Leadership Team (GLT) members, and external stakeholders.
- Streamline processes and improve efficiency within the GLT.
3. Strategic Initiatives
- Lead and oversee critical projects and initiatives on behalf of the CEO, ensuring timely and successful completion.
- Stay current on industry and competitive trends to provide input into strategic planning processes.
4. Communication and Change Management
- Lead communications planning for CEO and GLT – ensure messaging and planning are coordinated. Suggest ideas for content well in advance of events.
- Support change management efforts, including stakeholder engagement and communications.
- Act as a cultural ambassador, promoting a positive and inclusive workplace.
5. Transformation Programs
- Over time, assume leadership of specific transformation programs, driving change and ensuring successful outcomes.
- Develop project plans, manage budgets, and coordinate resources to achieve program objectives.
- Measure and report on the progress and impact of transformation initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field
- Extensive experience from a strategic, executive support, or project management role, preferably within a global company.
- Experience partnering across executive leadership teams with a proven track record of managing complex projects and leading transformation initiatives.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience in change management and understanding of global business practices and cultural diversity.
- Deep financial and business acumen, with P&L experience strongly recommended.
