Protenus, a healthcare compliance analytics company based in Baltimore, Maryland, is seeking an Accounting Assistant/Bookkeeper to join our growing team. This role requires strong organization skills in addition to being flexible with the ability to change priorities quickly. The right candidate is eager, organized and will support Finance by paying bills and categorizing company transactions.
Responsibilities
- Collect, gain approval, and pay company bills in a timely manner
- Categorize company wide transactions in Quickbooks Online and online banking platform
- Communicate with company employees regarding bills and credit card transactions
- Aid in the tracking of fixed assets and prepaid expenses
- Communicate with customers regarding outstanding invoices and aid in collections
- Additional miscellaneous finance/accounting support activities
Key Qualifications, Skills, or Competencies
- Quickbooks experience required
- 2+ years of related experience in a similar accounting assistant or bookkeeping role
- Self-motivated and knows when to seek guidance
- Understand basic accounting and bookkeeping principles
- High attention to detail is a must
- Proven process improvement skills
- Exceptional organization and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks at the same timeExcellent communication and interpersonal skills
