Austin100 is a unique organization that brings together CEOs, Executive Directors, and other influential community leaders for a series of candid, off-the-record discussions about the future of Austin and humanity. Now planning its ninth annual event, Austin100 focuses on fostering meaningful connections and addressing some of the city's and its leaders’ most significant challenges and opportunities. There are no PowerPoints or presentations—just small group discussions in private rooms or over a meal.Our participants are the CEOs and Founders of organizations like T3, UT Austin, Mobile Loaves & Fishes, BigCommerce, and many more.

What you will do...
As the Executive Director and CEO, you will lead, curate, and expand Austin100. You will be responsible for guiding the strategic vision and daily operations, including every aspect of planning and executing the annual event as the highest priority. This role requires a dynamic leader who can engage with high-profile individuals and manage all aspects of the organization as a one-person show on a tight budget.You have two active founding board members (Joshua Baer and Brett Hurt) and a supportive outgoing CEO who will help guide you.
- Event Planning & Logistics: Oversee and execute all logistics of the annual event and year-round activities, ensuring seamless execution and an exceptional attendee experience.
- Self-motivated Problem-Solving: Be creative, relentless, and willing to fail quickly and move on to new solutions. Ideal candidates love to learn and experiment.
- Technical Proficiency: Use no-code technologies such as Softr, Airtable, MiniExtensions, and Zapier for technical backend tasks.
- Financial Management & Daily Operations: Oversee all aspects of financial management, accounting, cash flow management, revenue strategy, and future strategy in partnership with our fiscal sponsor. Execute the strategic vision in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Relationship & Community Engagement: Engage and enroll Austin's busiest leaders in ways that incite participation. Identify and facilitate meaningful connections across Austin leaders, managing relationships with discernment across diverse ideologies and personalities.
- Discretion & Trustworthiness: Exhibit a high level of discretion with sensitive information, ensuring confidentiality and trust.
Requirements
About You:
- You are confident when making decisions about problems, especially when there are multiple “good options.”
- You have a wide range of interests and skills. You love to research and stay informed on a wide range of topics. This job is a great fit for someone on a unique career path.
- You have experience in event planning and logistics, particularly for high-profile clientele.
- You are a self-motivated learner who is willing to become or is technically proficient with no-code technologies (Softr, Airtable, MiniExtensions, Zapier).
- You are someone who has a personal affinity for building community.
- You are profoundly interpersonal yet can work alone within your own accountability structure.
- You live in Austin, TX and love to work remotely!
