WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Fors Marsh is seeking an intelligent and motivated Research Program Manager to work as part of our Military Analytics research team. Our Military Analytics team bridges the gap between traditional social science and data science, leveraging innovative analytic tools for research committed to improving the health and well-being of Service members and DoD personnel. Specifically, this position is a project coordination and research role supporting our suicide prevention portfolio, including quantitative analytic efforts, report writing, and project management support. This job is best suited for someone who enjoys coordinating and managing stakeholder needs, integrating and analyzing data, working with public-facing documents, is comfortable working with sensitive topics, and enjoys working collaboratively with team members and clients.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate with clients and stakeholders to support research program management activities.
- Assisting a team of data and social scientists to collect and explore, aggregate, analyze quantitative and qualitative data sets through a variety of techniques.
- Supporting all aspects of the research process, including literature searches, analysis planning, data cleaning, data analysis and interpretation, and reporting.
- Writing and reviewing written reports and professional briefings that summarize research findings to non-technical and technical audiences.
- Collaborate on data visualizations and other formats to present complex ideas to diverse audiences.
- Work under tight deadlines to fulfill client requests.
- Communicating with individuals at various government agencies and policy offices to understand their informational needs and gain access to data sources.
- Providing technical- and non-technical support to project teams.
- Upholding the highest standards of quality control for yourself and others.
- Supervising a small research team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social science, statistics, economics, public health, or a related field.
- 4 or more years of project coordination and practical research experience with applied social statistics within a professional environment.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Experience directly interfacing with clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively independently, and as a team member.
- Experience supervising a team of researchers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office® products (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, and Excel®).
- Experience with Microsoft Project or other project management software (e.g., Monday, SmartSheets) strongly preferred.

- Must be a U.S. Citizen and consent to a full background check due to our federal contract requirements.
- Applicants must be comfortable working with sensitive topics such as sexual assault and suicide.
