We’re on a mission to help parents ignite a love of learning and a love of life.The Fulfillment Center Manager (FCM) is an experienced Operations Professional with expertise in developing and leading the direction of fulfillment centers (distribution) and transportation, along with a successful track record in each area.
The FCM will have complete oversight and management of a Fulfillment Center. The FCM will be accountable for operationally achieving $24M in revenue and leadership of 50-100 team members within the center, with multiple layers of management.As an FCM, you will oversee all operational activities within the Fulfillment Center. Hiring, managing, mentoring, and training will be ongoing as the FC ramps to peak each season, utilizing a team of part-time associates and temporary labor. Leading by example, becoming an expert at all processes yourself while ensuring all associates are fully trained and operating daily in a safe manner. You will ensure the quality of all production within the FC, and work with the distribution/transportation partners that deliver the fairs to our customers.
Managing expenses, budgets, and P&L responsibilities are part of the job.To be equitable to all Literatians, we have set compensation and a non-negotiation policy- we don't think a person’s pay should be determined by how comfortable they negotiate. As a result, we like to be transparent and up-front about the compensation. When we make an offer, we can provide options so that employees can choose between compensation packages that prioritize salary or equity. The salary band for this role will be between 80,000 - 90,000.

5+ years of management experience in a fulfillment center
Prior P&L Management experience
Building effective teams
Strong Leadership Skills - history of developing and mentoring teams
Experience managing a large temporary or seasonal part-time labor force

High-level Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Suite skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Mobility and Standing: This position requires the ability to remain standing and moving throughout the entirety of the shift. Candidates should be comfortable being on their feet for extended periods of time to successfully perform job duties.
Lifting Requirements: The role involves occasional lifting of items weighing up to 50 pounds. Employees may be required to safely lift, carry, and maneuver items within this weight range as part of their regular duties.
Flexibility and Dexterity: Regular activities include bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching. These movements are integral to performing tasks associated with the role, such as handling materials, operating machinery, or completing manual tasks.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This position will collaborate with senior management in the development of all processes within the distribution and operations network, along with being responsible for managing the day-to-day fulfillment center processes. This position will collaborate with all levels of management and associates throughout multiple departments within the organization, as well as external vendor partners. The Fulfillment center personnel will report to this position. This position will report directly to the Regional Director of Operations.
