Job Summary


We are seeking a Senior Budget Analyst for a full-time, on-site position supporting the Marine Force Storage Command in Albany, GA. The selected candidate will provide significant support to Government-led program of budget/financial professionals to ensure the proper budget execution across multiple programs. The Sr. Budget Analyst will provide assistance to the Consolidated Storage Program (CSP) and serve as the subject matter expert in all financial and budget related areas of support to the CSP Primary Management Office.

They will interface with CSP government leadership to assist in the development and execution of CSP budgets, policies, methodologies, processes, standard operating procedures, and coordination of CSP daily business operations including sustainment and requisitioning processes.

Responsibilities and Duties


  • Assist in or prepare/present briefings and presentation materials as required.
  • Support government leadership in the execution of projects.
  • Track and control scope of work, resource utilization, schedules, and work accomplishments as assigned.
  • Research and assemble information and resources required for Current Year Deficiencies.
  • Collect/accumulate CSP metrics data and develop charts and presentations for Program Level review.
  • Develops daily, weekly, and monthly reports (as required) for submission to the Business Manager.
  • Monitors/tracks travel budget and spending for contractors and government personnel.
  • Assists in the development of POM and FY requirements.
  • Assists the government budget analysts in the maintenance of audit readiness files.
  • Briefs upper-level management, as required.
  • Skill in written and oral communications to present analysis and findings.
  • Ability to meet and deal with representatives of the private sector and with Government experts or managers to support the procurement of supplies, services, and equipment.
  • Ability to accomplish work with modest level of independence while balancing competing priorities with short lead times.

Minimum Education/Training/Certifications Required:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant area (Business Management, Information Technology, Project Management) and possess a minimum of 3 years of combined experience, or at least 6 years of experience business management, information technology, or project management and 3 years demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Prior military experience desired with USMC supply/logistics experience strongly preferred (not mandatory).
  • Possess written and oral communications skills, including public speaking.
  • Possess excellent research, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • A strong Intermediate level of proficiency with MS office applications to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook IS REQUIRED.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage multiple projects on tight deadlines and to prioritize appropriately.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively to achieve objectives.
