The Legal Product Manager will be responsible for developing and owning products and features, conducting market research, generating product requirements, determining specifications, coordinating communication between engineering and business, and time-integrated plans for product introduction. WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the legal, Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) and Legal market, and customer use cases to guide strategic product decisions
- Determines customers' needs and desires by engaging with partners and understanding where the market is headed
- Formulate Legal Use Cases to configure Legal Applications
- Define the success factor of features and measure accuracy and performance from a legal perspective
- Analyze proposed products, features, and bring new product proposals that create competitive advantage and evaluate the alignment of the features with legal use cases.
- Manage new product changes and enhancements by assessing the requirements and formulating the product/ feature
- Manage prioritizing new features, and product enhancements in each development sprint
- Formulate new products, determine the scope, product success factors, and KPIs, and create product requirements and wireframes
- Work with the project management, development team members, and third-party partners to execute the plan
- Coordinate communication between Engineering and Business teams regarding the current project and new requests
- Collaborate closely with sales and marketing to develop and deliver sales training, sales collateral, product collateral, and other product assets
- Represent the voice of the product and customer in the engineering team
- Hands-on - this is a new role, and the person coming in is expected to be very hands-on
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- 5+ years of experience in product management role in the legal space
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills to work closely with various teams throughout the organization
- Problem solving/analysis and strategic thinking.
- An Innovator and specialist in lean product development strategy
- Must be able to travel both domestically and internationally to India and regularly to customer, industry, and partner gatherings and event
- Experience in Legal tech experience, legal background, SaaS, and AI environment a plus
