Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Operations Team Lead/Administrator to join our growing law firm, which comprises approximately 130 staff members across two office locations.
The successful candidate will oversee the IT operations, ensuring seamless technology support and cloud resource management while leading and mentoring one other IT professional located in the alternate office. This role is crucial in supporting our firm’s technological needs as we expand.Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership and Management:
- Lead and manage the IT operations team, providing guidance and training to other IT Operations staff, contractors, and/or consultants.
- Provide input to the performance evaluations of other IT Operations staff.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Coordinate and delegate tasks to ensure efficient operation and project completion.
- Cloud Resource Management:
- Oversee the management and optimization of cloud resources and services, including AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms.
- Ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of cloud-based systems to support business operations.
- Manage integrations with various cloud services and ensure seamless operations.
- Provide tier-1, tier-2, and tier-3 support for cloud services, managed services, and other IT-related issues, while coordinating with cloud service providers.
- Develop and implement processes for troubleshooting and resolving IT issues promptly.
- Maintain and update documentation of cloud systems, procedures, and best practices.
- Plan, execute, and oversee IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Develop and document project requirements in an agile manner.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand and address their IT needs.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement and maintain IT security measures to protect sensitive data and cloud systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal policies.
- Work with managed services SOC providers to conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.
- Manage relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
- Negotiate contracts and service agreements to ensure cost-effective and high-quality service delivery.
- Assist in developing and managing the IT budget.
- Plan for future IT needs and cloud resource upgrades in alignment with the firm’s growth and strategic goals.
- Utilize ConnectWise as a critical tool for IT operations and support.
- Successfully work in a ticket-based incident management environment, prioritizing work effort and requests according to pre-established protocols.
Qualifications
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in IT operations, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in a legal or professional services environment is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, including AWS and Azure.
- Proficiency in cloud services management and optimization.
- Experience with IT security best practices and technologies.
- Familiarity with legal practice management software (e.g., Filevine) is a plus.
- Proficiency with ConnectWise for IT operations and support.
- Experience in a ticket-based incident management environment, with the ability to prioritize work efforts and requests according to pre-established protocols.
