Position Overview
Warehouse & Logistics Specialist is vital to the success of Velo3D and supports the business by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to execute effective warehouse and logistics operations for meeting our business production goals.
Responsibilities (taking care of the tactical part of logistics)
- Booking trucks and freight forwarders
- Preparing paperwork for international freight
- Preparing bill of ladings
- Make sure freight is being collected from international suppliers, making sure it is tracking on time, keeping an eye on the transport to make sure there is no delay in transit or at the port, etc.
- A white-collar role and not a factory floor role, but on a very tactical individual contributor role level
- Comfortable using freight companies' tracking systems
- Other tactical work like 1) scheduling the truck, did the truck show up, and 2) having freight forwarders quote international shipments, making sure they collect it, and make sure they have the information: the bill of lading, the customs information, etc. In other words, make sure the goods get from A to B on time without issues
Qualifications
- 3 – 5 years in Warehouse activities in manufacturing
- Lean manufacturing experience
- Receiving/Shipping/Inventory control expeirence
- Experience with multi-level BOM’s
- Preparation and oversite of domestic and international shipments
- Forklift experience
- Software experience using: 1) NetSuite (ERP), 2) RF Smart 3) FedEx shipping software

Onsite Schedule
- Onsite location in Fremont, CA which is Velo3D’s production facility
- Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm

The starting compensation for this position is between $79,000 and $83,000. This compensation range reflects the minimum and maximum target for this position in the U.S. The actual compensation is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience, job-related skills, related education, work location, and market demands.
The compensation range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
