We’re seeking to hire a dynamic Marketing & Sales Manager to join our NYC location team. In this role you will be responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic marketing and sales initiatives to promote our exhibitions and events in New York City. This role requires a proactive, creative thinker with can-do attitude and passion for arts and technology, a hands-on strategist executing many areas of ARTECHOUSE’s marketing efforts, including but not limited to: Sales, PR, Promotions, Advertising, Grassroots Marketing, Partnerships, Promotions and more. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute strategic marketing & sales plans to drive revenue growth and meet sales targets across multiple revenue streams: tickets, bar, merch, events, etc.
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities, including partnerships, sponsorships, and collaborations, including strategic approach, proposal development, pitch efforts, and execution. Work with national partners as relevant.
- Develop and implement multi-platform short & long-Term marketing plans and budgets for ARTECHOUSE NYC with the focus on meeting and exceeding sales goals.
- Lead the development and execution of marketing campaigns to drive sales across various channels, including print, local promotions, email, PR and partnerships.
- Analyze sales and marketing data to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and identify areas for improvement
- Oversee local PR agency to meet NYC press goals and organize press visits and preview events.
- Work closely with the Digital team to effectively market the NYC location on all relevant digital platforms, creating compelling marketing materials, including promotional videos, social media content, and email newsletters.
- Communicate effectively and work closely with the Guest Services team to develop and implement effective on-site marketing programs to enhance guest experience and build positive word of mouth.
- Work closely with the Guest Services team to monitor, respond to and improve online reviews
- Serve as primary liaison for NYC area strategic marketing initiatives and represent ARTECHOUSE at industry events and networking opportunities with cultural partners and citywide organizations
- Manage the sales and marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
- Availability to be onsite at the NYC-based ARTECHOUSE venue for various events (e.g. press interviews, openings, etc.)
- Perform other job functions as necessary to ensure continued smooth operation of the organization.
- Provide marketing support for other locations when and as needed.
- Market, Sell and manage group bookings for NYC.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Proven track record of success in sales and marketing roles, preferably in the arts, entertainment, or hospitality industry. Minimum of 4 years of active sales & marketing experience in New York City. (Preference given to candidates with experience in attraction, theater, entertainment, or agency that represented such property.)
- Experience developing and managing partnerships and promotions, advertising purchasing and managing agencies.
- Group sales or private event sales background a strong plus
- Ticketing systems knowledge a strong plus
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Excellent written and communication skills, with the ability to effectively present ideas and negotiate contracts. Public speaking skills are a plus.
- Ability to create proposals and sales/marketing materials that are powerful, compelling, customized, and effective
- Strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to be proactive
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate, collaborate and work well on a team
- Creative thinker with a can-do attitude, a passion for art, technology, and innovation, and a demonstrated ability to bring innovative ideas to fruition.
- Proactive self-leader with the ability to work independently and drive projects forward with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of the NYC cultural landscape and experience working in a diverse, fast-paced environment is preferred.
- Detailed budget management
- Proficiency in Google Drive (Docs, Spreadsheets, Presentations) and Mailchimp. Experience with Slack, CRM, and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
