We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to work at a company making a positive impact on millions of Americans' daily lives.
What you'll be doing:
The IT Support Specialist will be a key player in providing technical support, managing IT documentation, and overseeing hardware assets within the organization. This role requires a technically skilled, detail-oriented, and service-focused individual who is capable of providing solutions to enhance system functionality and support our end-users.
Key responsibilities:
- Technical Support: Serve as the first point of contact for end-users seeking technical assistance over the phone, via email, or in person. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for Mac and Windows environments, ensuring minimal downtime and high satisfaction levels.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT systems, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible, supporting the IT team's efficiency and knowledge sharing.
- Hardware Management: Manage the inventory of hardware assets, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal. Coordinate with vendors for the purchase and repair of equipment, ensuring the company's hardware needs are met efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Customer Service: Building positive relationships with users, alleviating concerns, providing timely and satisfactory resolutions.
What you’ll bring:
- Experience in a technical support role, demonstrating strong troubleshooting skills and customer service.
- Knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and networking fundamentals.
- Ability to document processes and technical instructions clearly and concisely.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and work within deadlines.
Requirements:
- Must be a US Citizen and able to work domestically
- Must have experience working with Google Workspace G-Suite, Slack Administration, Zoom, and MDM (Mobile Device Management).
Education:
- Associate degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) are a plus.

Compensation:
