The company recently acquired Capitol Canary, a market leader in grassroots advocacy software.As a Controller, you will report to our Vice President of Finance and direct all aspects of accounting operations, including timely and accurate general ledger accounting, accounts payable processing, month-end close, and preparation of internal management financial reports.
What You’ll Do
- First Week: You’ll get an overview of our people, business, tech stack, financial model, and reporting packets.
- First Month: You’ll oversee all accounting systems, procedures, and practices to ensure/enhance proper internal controls and ensure all records are maintained in accordance with GAAP.
- First Six Months: You’ll manage the monthly and annual close processes, ensuring that they are completed in a timely manner, and prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. You will also play a key role in the successful completion of Quorum’s annual audit process.
- First Year: You’ll mentor staff, provide hands-on leadership to the accounting team; clarify accountability and expectations; set measurable objectives and goals for the accounting staff. You’ll also support the continued growth of the Company by identifying and initiating process improvements over financial processes and systems.
About You
- You have at least 4 years of accounting experience; a track record of success in accounting and control in private or public company environments is a plus.
- You have strong technical accounting experience (revenue recognition, purchase accounting, consolidations, and foreign currency translation).
- You are eager to build partnerships, design, and implement process improvements that make team member’s lives easier by solving everyday problems.
- You are a self-starter who is able to work independently and manage time across multiple work streams and stakeholders.
- You can demonstrate a strong grasp of internal controls.
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and an active CPA. NetSuite experience is preferred.

Compensation Structure
- On Target Earnings: $160,000.00 – $190,000.00
