KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Spearhead the formulation of comprehensive technical requirements by synthesizing inputs and documentation from internal stakeholders.
Lead the strategic planning and execution of end-to-end development initiatives, overseeing the design and implementation of data warehousing solutions and tabular models. This encompasses the orchestration of intricate ETL processes, database and data warehouse design, and the development of Azure Analysis Services tabular models.
Demonstrate mastery in crafting sophisticated Power BI reports, adept at handling complex bookmarking functionalities and delivering insights that drive strategic decision-making.
Architect and implement robust ETL pipelines for diverse and complex data sources, including SQL, flat files, EDI files, XML, and JSON, ensuring seamless data integration across the organization.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for existing processes and solution designs, as well as new initiatives, ensuring knowledge transfer and operational continuity.
Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams and stakeholders, providing regular updates, gathering requirements, and offering strategic insights to align solutions with business objectives.
Provide strategic guidance and hands-on support throughout the entire solution lifecycle, proactively identifying and addressing challenges to ensure successful delivery.
Lead the ongoing maintenance and optimization of ETL processes and data models, leveraging best practices and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement.
Offer strategic recommendations and thought leadership on best practices and methodologies for delivering high-impact customer solutions, driving innovation and efficiency.
Act as a senior technical advisor, providing mentorship and guidance to junior team members, and offering expertise on ad-hoc technical initiatives within the Insights business.

REQUIREMENTS

Demonstrated experience in Business Intelligence (4+ years)
Excellent communications written/verbal
Degree in computer science, analytics, or related discipline
Strong skills with Power BI and Azure Analysis Services
Experience with Azure for analytics (Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Analysis Services) is required
Ability to write ETL processes in languages including Python and T-SQL
C# and PowerShell are advantageous
Familiarity with Azure AD permissions
Knowledge of secure design within both SQL and Analysis Services
Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, or equivalent issue/project tracking tools
Leadership / Management experience
