MCA holds a place as an SCN Top 50 Systems Integrator worldwide and possesses an excellent track record of completing high-profile projects with a focus on safety, quality, and customer service.MCA is currently interviewing candidates for experienced Electronic Security Low Voltage Installers with the potential to fulfill a Lead role.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing the installation of access control, intrusion, and surveillance systems. MCA technicians will also work on various other MCA projects such as voice and data, fiber, audio visual, and nurse call systems.Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the commercial security field and be very proficient working with:
- Responsible in the field for all aspects of installation and service of security systems and equipment on assigned projects, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Lead, train, supervise, and mentor teams of on-site technicians via on-the-job training, maintain project scheduling, tracking of materials and labor while managing crews to perform various types of installations and completing them under project deadlines.
- Provide reporting of project production, resolving issues, providing scheduling needs, and maintaining budgets set by the Project Manager.
- Possess a complete understanding of assigned projects.
- Troubleshoot and repair complex security systems.
- Provide regular feedback on the performance of technicians to the Project Manager.
- Determine parts needed for project completion and accurately report inventory of all on-site material for each project.
- Devolve change orders for Project Manager.
- Perform walk-throughs with clients on Project Manager’s behalf when needed.
- Coordinate with any subcontractors assigned to project.
- Strong familiarity with programming for security devices.
- Assure that all installation work and associated testing required are performed to the latest specifications and meet both industry and MCA quality standards.
- Serves as direct interface with the customers and clients.
- Keep personal technical skills up to date by attending in-house training classes and vendor seminars.
- Demonstrate ability to consistently complete projects within budget, on time and in a safe manner.
- Demonstrate advanced troubleshooting skills.
- Adhere to all required project safety requirements as set forth by MCA and OSHA
- Maintain the MCA's high standard of quality and professionalism with regards to workmanship, customer relations, coworkers, behavior, and appearance.
- Cat3, 5, 5e, 6, and 6a data cabling including the termination of RJ45 and keystone jacks.
- Install cable pathways such as J-hooks, ladder racks, and cable trays.
- Perform any other duties not specifically stated herein, but which your supervisor may assign.
Requirements:
- Must possess a valid security license - relevant certifications (e.g., NICET, ESA, ASIS, Genetec, Hanwha, Axis and Bosch) preferred
- Must have a valid driver license
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must pass a drug test
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule (nights and weekends when needed)
- Must be able to meet physical requirement of construction - lift items up to a minimum of 50 pounds, work in the elements (heat, cold, wind, dust, debris, etc.)
- High school diploma or equivalent
Abilities:
- Lift up to 100 pounds at one time and at least 50 pounds for an extended period of time.
- Fully utilize and relocate a 10-12 foot stepladder without assistance.
- Works at various heights up to 60 feet; can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and all types of ladders.
- Full ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, turn, twist, crawl, squat, walk, climb, push, pull, and reach overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
- Possess good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see the differences in colors, shades, and brightness
- Possess the ability to understand and communicate in English at a minimum conversational level.
