Liv by Advantia Health is seeking a full-time Sonographer to join their team. To be successful as a sonographer, you should have excellent patient service and communication skills, as well as keen eyesight and attention to detail. Additionally, you should have technical skills, as well as sound judgment and decision-making skills. From Ob-Gyn to mental wellness, and lactation support, we’re changing the way women experience and expect healthcare. Come and join us!
The hours for this role would be a Monday-Friday position with the hours of 8:00AM – 4:30PM. There may be occasional Saturday's depending on the time of the year.

Job Responsibilities:


  • Reviews patient’s medical history and physician’s instructions.
  • Prepares equipment for procedure. Selects appropriate equipment settings.
  • Explains procedure to patients and records any medical history that may be relevant to the condition being viewed. Directs the patient to move into positions that will provide the best view.
  • Spread gel on the skin to aid the transmission of sound waves.
  • Operates special equipment to direct nonionizing, high-frequency sound waves into areas of the patient’s body. The equipment collects reflected echoes and forms an image that may be videotaped, transmitted, or photographed for interpretation and diagnosis by a physician.
  • Views the screen during the scan, looking for visual cues that contrast healthy areas with unhealthy ones. Selects images to show to the physician for diagnostic purposes.
  • Takes measurements, calculates values, and analyzes the results in preliminary reports for the physicians.
  • Keeps patient records and adjusts/maintains equipment.
  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Complies with safety, infection control, and quality improvement policies/procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in sonography from accredited school.
  • Previous OB/GYN ultrasound experience strongly preferred.
  • Current ARDMS certification with OB/GYN specialty required.
  • Must be certified in Nuchal translucency scans.

Please note compensation is based on years of experience.
