Description
Sigma Defense is seeking someone with extensive experience in Navy and/or Defense training operations, policy, doctrine, systems, and staff procedures to support Commander, U.S. Fleet Forces Command (USFFC) N75 as a Surface Fleet Deployment Training Exercise Lead in Norfolk, VA. The ideal candidate is a team-oriented, customer-focused program analyst who has experience leading working groups and cross functional teams with at least 8 years of experience with managing large, complex projects dealing with Navy and/or Defense training operations and policy.
Echelon III (or higher) staff experience is ideal. A candidate should have an understanding of Navy fleet training policy and programs. Knowledge of the Optimized Fleet Response Plan (OFRP) and Fleet Response Training Plan (FRTP) are highly desired for this opportunity. This is a contingent position that is pending award of contract. This means that the position is subject to the successful awarding of a contract and will be confirmed once the contract is finalized. The candidate selected for this role will be offered the position on the condition that the contract is awarded to our organization.

Requirements
Minimum of 8 years of experience in the following:
- Subject matter expert for respective task requirements (e.g. Academics, Warfare Area(s), Program or Policy support).
- Navy and/or Defense training operations, policy, doctrine, systems, and staff procedures.
- Managing/ prioritizing large, complex projects involving numerous stakeholders.
- Team and/or project leader.
- Leading working groups and cross functional teams.
- Leveraging best practices and handling multiple tasks and interruptions with minimal impact on productivity/deliverables.
- Engaging Senior Staff at the Flag Officer/Director/Manager level.
- Conducting fleet training analysis/assessment to identify gaps, training needs and solutions.
Personnel Clearance Level:
- Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active, DoD Secret security clearance.
- A clearance will be sponsored for the right candidate.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience.
- Equivalent experience to a Bachelor's degree is 2 additional years of Resource Band experience.
Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):
Support Tasks:
- (a) Assist in the planning, execution, assessment and oversight of LSE.
- (b) Provide subject matter expertise on planning issues across the full spectrum of LSE exercise lifecycle.
- (c) Support, analyze, coordinate, and provide administrative responses to formal, informal, emergent and routine tasks concerning planning and execution of LSE.
- (d) Provide recommendations and advice to USFF N7 government representatives in a variety of forums, meetings, conferences and working groups.
- (e) Understand and support exercise lifecycle events.
- (f) Provide subject matter expertise during planning, execution, and assessment events covering a broad range of planning topics (e.g., exercise control, opposing force (OPFOR), manpower, etc.).
- (g) Assist in coordinating and updating USFF N7 government representatives on the day-to-day execution of ongoing exercise lifecycle events.
- (h) Assist in researching, developing and/or coordinating various LSE event “hot wash” documents, AAR, and post-event analysis.
- (i) Prepare calling, planning and summary messages for exercise events.
Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 annually.
