job purpose:
The Quality Governance Specialist will be responsible for aiding in the development, support, and continuous improvement of fairlife’s Quality Management System (QMS). Additionally, the Quality Governance Specialist will function as a key representative to ensure fairlife’s Quality and Food Safety Management systems are compliant with regulatory, Coca-Cola KORE, and 3rd party requirements.
responsibilities:
- Coordination of site quality programs and ensure standardization of best practices across manufacturing sites to fairlife’s QMS requirements.
- Oversight over all fairlife facilities CAPA programs and ensure their completion and effectiveness.
- Administrator in Quality Management Software, ETQ, including the standardization of documents and quality requirements across manufacturing locations.
- Train appropriate employees in the use of fairlife QMS software and practices
- Work with R&D to ensure fairlife product specifications are up to date.
- Fulfill documentation requests from customers for continued compliance.
- Conduct Internal Audits for quality and food safety requirements at manufacturing sites.
- Conduct risk assessments in relation to QMS and FSMS.
- Support in adherence to Coca-Cola KORE requirements and taking steps necessary to achieve adherence.
- Lead projects to continuously improve fairlife’s Quality and Food Safety Management Systems.
- Work closely with site Environmental, Health, and Safety teams to enable integrated management systems.
skills/qualifications required:
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, microbiology, chemistry, food science or equivalent years of experience
- 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing and quality assurance environment.
- Experience in working with Quality Management System software, such as ETQ and LIMS software platforms.
- ISO 9001 and FSSC 22000 Internal Auditor Training is preferred.
- Preventive Controls Quality Individual Training is preferred.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is a plus.
- Ability to interact effectively across enterprise manufacturing quality teams in championing new programs.
- Ability to influence management & enable the activities of employee teams.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong computer and document management skills.
food safety requirements:
- Notify supervision of any repairs or adjustments that are required that may affect product quality or food safety.
- Understand, observe, and comply with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy while in the Production Areas.
- Perform all duties necessary to meet Company, Customer and/or Government requirements/standards as prioritized by the Company.
- Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system.
- Identify and record any problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety system.
- Control further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
- In the event of absence, another employee with the same skill level will assume the duties and responsibilities as required.
