About the Role:
As a member of the Frontend Engineering Team at PriceLabs, you will be responsible for shaping the front-end experience of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing, Building, and Operating the frontend development of PriceLabs products.
- Collaborating closely with design, engineering, and data science teams to meet all frontend requirements.
- Writing Quality Code that is comprehensible to team members and thoroughly tested on modern browsers and mobile devices.
- Maintaining and Enhancing existing web and mobile experiences.
- Modernizing Our Platform by adopting the latest development techniques.
- Establishing Standards for frontend engineering, including tooling and processes.
About You:
We are looking for a talented individual with the following qualifications:
- Experience: 3.5 - 6 years of expertise in ReactJS, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS. Familiarity with Ruby on Rails (RoR) and its interaction with HTML is ideal but not required.
- Preferred Skills: Experience with Next.js is advantageous but not mandatory. Familiarity with charting libraries such as Highcharts or D3, and understanding of design systems and component libraries, is preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Deep knowledge of React, server-side rendering, and performance optimizations is essential.
- Design Patterns: A solid grasp of frontend design patterns and experience in maintaining multiple applications with reusable code.
- Leadership: Willingness to own multiple frontend applications, mentor other engineers on frontend best practices, and eventually lead a vertical.
- Performance: Experience in handling and improving frontend monitoring and performance.
- Purpose-Driven: A desire to build meaningful solutions and empower the next generation of entrepreneurs.
- Balanced Approach: Understanding the importance of balancing speed and quality in development decisions.
- Collaboration: Comfort working as part of a comprehensive engineering team to deliver end-to-end product experiences.
- Tool Proficiency: Proficient with Git, Visual Studio Code (or your preferred IDE), BrowserStack and thorough testing to the last pixel.
- API Integration: Experience in building websites that integrate with APIs using frontend frameworks.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Education: A strong background in computer science, with a degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
