The Project Manager will own and drive projects throughout the project lifecycle with little to no oversight. This role may lead 1-2 small to medium projects at a given time and should be able to understand the value of the engagement and lead the execution of it.. This role will be accountable for ensuring project deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and meet the objectives of the client.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Lead the delivery of product solutions using working knowledge of different SDLCs including agile and waterfall methodologies
- Own the entire project lifecycle from beginning to end including creating project plans, documentation and reporting methods
- Responsible for collaborating with other delivery team members to ensure delivery of effective products
- Manage and track team capacity including current state and project future capacity needs
- Set and manage project expectations with team and client stakeholders
- Identify and communicate projects risks and associated mitigation plans to the client and internal stakeholders
- Identify changes in project scope, create contingency plans and escalate to delivery leadership as required
- Create project status reports that accurately reflect project health, status, and risks along with associated project metrics to support the status reported
- Negotiate with other PMO team members around needs of shared resources
- Timely adherence to Nerdery Delivery Operations support tasks including financial tracking and resource availability forecasting
- Active participation in Nerdery PMO activities and initiatives
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
- 3+ years of client-facing digital project management experience using agile methodologies or relevant experience
- Preferably minimum of 1 year of consulting experience
- Proven leadership, collaboration, and communication skills
- Must be proactive and self-motivated with a proven track record in driving solutions forward
- Ability to solve complex delivery issues and modify processes as needed
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with Jira/Confluence or Azure DevOps preferred
- Experience with projects on GCP preferred
