Day in the Life of a Technical Architect
As a Salesforce Technical Architect (TA) you will play a crucial role in the successful implementation of Salesforce projects at Neocol. You will combine your technical expertise with solution design skills to create scalable, efficient, and secure Salesforce solutions that align with the business requirements of our clients, as well as create reusable assets to be deployed to multiple clients. This may involve owning portions of the design, or supporting the Solution Architect. As a Technical Architect, you will ensure effective communication on projects by matching the client's comprehension level while maintaining the necessary technical precision within the internal context.
- Design and implement custom code solutions which leverage Apex, Javascript, Visualforce, Lightning Components
- Lead the technical delivery of Salesforce implementation
- Execute technical process reviews and provide guidance on technical topics (i.e. data, deployment, single sign on, large data volumes)
- Collaborate with Solution Architects on client solutions to provide detailed and sound solution designs
- Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges
- Responsible for implementing solutions that support business requirements and drive key decisions that improve processes and productivity
- Provide data models for tailor-made customizations (with Solution Architects).
- Perform code reviews
- Coach and mentor junior technical team members
As a Technical Architect, you will also fill the Release Manager role on projects. The Release Manager is responsible for the deployment & release management strategy and its execution on projects. The Release Manager is responsible for ensuring all deployment and release management deliverables are completed on a project. You will work closely with the project team to make sure all work is being tracked and documented for deployment executions, and will work with them to resolve any errors during deployments.As Release Manager on projects:
- Act as project SME for all things deployment and release management (tools, best practices, maintaining source control, etc)
- Define, managing & execute environment & deployment strategy
- Manage technical collateral for hand off at the end of the engagement
- Commit changes to source control and open pull requests
- Review and merge work in source control
- Run data deployments (sandbox seeding) to test features
- Run final releases to production and be able to roll back or restore if needed

Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience with Salesforce
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for a variety of audiences and situations
- Confident, self-assured, team-player, ambitious and driven
- Detail and quality oriented with the desire and ability to rapidly learn and implement new concepts, business models, and technologies
- Prior experience building technical artifacts including Salesforce configuration design documents, technical design documents
- Javascript, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce
- Experience integrating Web Services (Scribe, SOAP, REST, JSON)
- Salesforce certifications: Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder, and Platform Developer I, Data Architecture and Management Designer, Sharing and Visibility Architect.
- Strong experience using APEX on previous projects; Abilities to review / share feedback on Salesforce coding best practices supporting application scalability
- Experience with an array of design patterns)
- Experience with test-driven development
- Prior experience executing deployments and use of DevOps tools (i.e. Prodly, Copado, etc)

Preferred Qualifications
- Revenue Cloud (CPQ/Billing) experience or certifications.
- Platform Developer II certification
