Lyra Technology Group is looking for a full-time Service Desk Technician to join the team at one of our operating companies, Arnet Technologies, located in Columbus, OH. This opportunity will focus on troubleshooting and servicing IT hardware and software installations for a portfolio of clients.

Your work as the Service Desk Technician includes several components:
• Providing proactive and reactive remote technical support to our clients, via telephone, email, and remote control. Some examples include, but are not limited to, the following: o Managing, installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware and software for servers, desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, printers, UPS units, firewalls, switches, and other computer systems and devices. o Works closely with clients, Arnet staff members, hardware and software vendors, and service providers.
o Responding to monitoring alerts. o Performing computer account maintenance including setting up computers, decommissioning computers, and migrating settings and data. o Performing user account maintenance including adding and removing users, configuring user profiles, changing passwords, etc. o Providing Tier II technical support to end-users for computer and network related issues. o Managing onsite and offsite backups, spinning up virtual servers on onsite backup appliances and offsite at the data center, in both test and production scenarios.• Ability to time track work in real-time through ticketing system.• Interpret best ways to meet client expectations and resolve customer tickets to fulfill service agreements.• Maintain client and internal documentation.• Understand support tools, techniques, and technology used to provide IT support.• Superior attendance and ownership of “hand-offs” when needed.• Improve customer service, perception, and satisfaction.
Our ideal Service Desk Technician has the following qualifications:
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree with IT focus and/or 3+ years of IT support experience.• Experience working with IT consulting firms and small businesses.• Exposure to all versions of Microsoft Windows.• Experience with Microsoft Server (AD and Basic OS Support).• Experience with Microsoft Office / Office 365.• Proficiency in networking, hardware support and backup support.• Exposure working with Print Systems.• Excellent and clear written and verbal communication.• Proficiency in Malware/Virus Removal.• Exposure to Smartphone and tablet support.• Reliable transportationIf joining a team-oriented company in the tech space sounds appealing to you, let’s have a conversation.
