About The Role:
As a Ground Operations Lead at Veho, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics activities. You will be at the forefront of daily interactions with cross-functional teams, orchestrating efforts to maintain safety standards while achieving operational excellence. Your leadership will be crucial in guiding a shared shift to guarantee successful launches and sorts, in collaboration with both the Veho team and our valued driver partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Thrive in a fast-paced environment that demands quick thinking and physical agility, embracing the challenge of physically tasking work with enthusiasm and resilience.
Quickly navigate technology platforms to manage operational changes, re-routes, and other logistical challenges with ease and efficiency.
Assess operational needs swiftly and work cross-functionally to orchestrate seamless operations, prioritizing safety, and driving success.
Operate a forklift and potentially a box truck with skill and precision, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods and materials as needed.
Execute with a focus on customer service, providing high levels of support and assistance to our crowd-sourced driver partners and internal teams.
Works well in a fast-paced environment that is, at times, physically tasking
Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively lead a shift.
Stand for extended periods, move boxes up and down, bend, and frequently lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs, ensuring physical readiness for the demands of the role.
Qualifications:
At least 1 year of previous experience in logistics, operations management, or a related field is preferred.
Owns a modern smartphone and can navigate apps on a smartphone daily.
Forklift certification and/or experience operating box trucks is preferred.
Proficiency in technology platforms and tools relevant to logistics operations.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
Commitment to delivering exceptional experiences to team members and driver partners.
Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, holidays, and weekends, as required by operational needs.
