The Opportunity
We are looking for a dynamic, articulate and numbers-driven thinker. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for all full cycle accounting processes, annual budgets, and overseeing all matters relating to finance and accounting. Requirements:
- Strong QuickBooks Online Experience
- Strong time management skills
- Detail-oriented
- Strong communication skills (writing/verbal)
- Strong financial and management accounting experience
- Strong commitment to delivering on timelines
Key Responsibilities:
- Full cycle accounting responsibilities – inclusive of bank reconciliations/credit card reconciliations/journal entries
- Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, payroll, authorize payments, and review expense accounting
- Prepare complete, timely and accurate financial reporting for monthly, quarterly and annual periods
- Review and produce period end variance analysis reports and commentary for management
- Provide timely year-end financial statements to external accounting firms for tax purposes
- Lead the review and analysis of annual budgets in conjunction with management
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- College or university designation in finance/accounting/business
- Complete discretion with sensitive information, both within the company and externally
- Commitment to accuracy, attention to detail and follow-through
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, and confidence in presenting to key stakeholders
- Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial setting; strong willingness to affect change with an understanding of the unique challenges encountered in small businesses
