Competitive Range Solutions requires the expertise of a talented and experienced Circuit Engineer to assist in directing and managing the program’s executive support group. The candidate must reference their ability and experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) customer environment and effective integration with a government multi-contractor team. The Circuit Engineer, a pivotal role in the technical operations of the DoD facilities, provides comprehensive technical control services, telecommunications network management, circuit engineering, and equipment maintenance.
This role offers a unique opportunity to be responsible for the engineering, provisioning, testing, and maintaining secure and non-secure voice, data optical, record, and digital message traffic services.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design and provision circuits in accordance with DODIN requirements and DoD standards. Manage the lifecycle of circuit provisioning from initial request to final implementation, including modifications, upgrades, and deactivation.
- Perform rigorous quality control and testing to ensure circuit performance meets or exceeds specified standards. Analyze trends to predict future performance issues and recommend solutions.
- Quickly identify and isolate circuit faults, developing and implementing solutions to restore service with minimal downtime. Provide 24x7x365 support for critical incident resolution.
- Maintain detailed records of circuit designs, configurations, tests, performance reports, and troubleshooting activities. Provide monthly reports on circuit status, performance, and any outstanding issues.
- Work closely with the Tech Control Facility Trainer to ensure technical staff are trained in new circuit configurations and technologies. Support other departments in understanding circuit capabilities and limitations.
- Ensure all circuit engineering activities comply with DoD regulations, notices, circulars, operational messages, and local policies. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
- Research and recommend new technologies or configurations to improve circuit efficiency, reliability, and security. Participate in the development and review of operational procedures to enhance performance.

- Conduct circuit testing, trend analysis, and monitoring to proactively identify and address potential issues.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on circuit engineering, system engineering, and quality control procedures.
- Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining telecommunications equipment and infrastructure.
- Participate in circuit activations, changes, modifications, upgrades, and deactivations as required.
- Document circuit configurations, changes, and maintenance activities accurately and comprehensively.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex circuit-related issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and service disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with DoD regulations, notices, circulars, and operational messages related to circuit engineering and maintenance.
- Prepare reports, documentation, and presentations on circuit engineering activities, performance metrics, and recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Experience in circuit design, provisioning, and management within a telecommunications or technical control environment.
- Experience in circuit engineering tools, software, and a telecommunications network environment.
- Strong understanding of telecommunications principles, protocols, and technologies.
- Experience with DoD regulations, standards, and procedures.
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Telecommunication, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Master's degree (preferred).
