The Senior Accountant is responsible for all daily accounting functions which includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliations, billing, monthly financial report preparation, and other reporting responsibilities. The person in this role will be a key member of the Finance team, contributing to the development of the overall function.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for monthly close and consolidation process, ensuring it is completed timely and accurately.
- Conduct detailed balance sheet reconciliations, engaging in independent research to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Prepare journal entries.
- Prepare materials for audits and tax filings.
- Resolve issues related to billing/collections and cash settlement processes.
- Support the company expense management process, from onboarding new users to tracking and reporting corporate spend.
- Resolve a variety of routine internal and external inquiries.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining accounting policies and procedures, enhancing the organization's financial governance.
- Support the development and standardization of key control metrics across the Finance function.
- Engage in ad-hoc projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years’ experience with operational accounting and month end close process.
- Demonstrated understanding and application of US GAAP accounting standards.
- BS in Accounting, Finance or other relevant field required.
- Accounting software experience required.
- MS Excel and Word proficiency required.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and analytical thinking are a must.
- Previous experience with Salesforce is a plus.
- Big Four public accounting experience preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or equivalent preferred.
