About this RoleThe Menu Assortment Strategy Manager will be a key leader responsible for developing and executing the strategic plan for the Farmer’s Fridge menu assortment across 1400+ unique Fridges and 500+ Retail locations.
Your goal will be to maximize revenue and margin by ensuring we have the right products in the right places at the right price. You will leverage data-driven insights and collaborate with the General Manager and the R&D and Innovation team to drive growth through our menu mix and merchandising capabilities. This role requires a data-driven, expert decision-maker who can balance opportunities with the organization’s capabilities to prioritize high-impact initiatives and investments.What You’ll Do:Customer & Fridge Analysis:
- Analyze customer purchase behaviors such as purchase frequency, average spend, and product preferences across Fridge locations to inform assortment strategy.
- Analyze product performance across different Fridge segments; manage assortment and inform product prioritization.
- Identify high-performing locations and replicate successful strategies in underperforming locations.
Assortment Strategy:
- Analyze product performance across different lifecycle stages and segments to inform assortment decisions and product prioritization.
- Set planogram strategy, creating highly customized menus by fridge population to maximize trial and repeat purchases.
- Collaborate with Menu R&D & Innovation teams to conceptualize, test, and introduce new menu items that drive customer monetization
- Drive product strategy and short, medium, and long-term roadmap planning.
- Partner with Data Science to optimize Fridge assortment through data science and machine learning
Merchandising Strategy:
- Analyze basket-level data to identify common cross-sell patterns and opportunities to increase average transaction value.
- Develop and execute targeted bundle offers and promotional strategies to drive year-over-year comps across Fridge locations.
- Build merchandising strategies and go-to-market plans for new products/categories.
Reporting and Communication:
- Collaborate with the Channel Management and Finance teams to build scorecards and KPIs to effectively evaluate menu item performance and inform future assortment strategies across Fridge cohorts.
- Partner with Analytics to design and develop queries and data briefs to support comprehensive analysis.
- Maintain and assist with the development of menu planning processes and tools to drive improvement in metrics and efficiency.
Who You Are…
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Analytics, or another highly analytical field and/or a minimum of 5 years of experience in a strategy or analytics role for D2C consumer goods or retailer, with a focus on digital channels.
- Advanced Excel skills are required, with the ability to manipulate raw data efficiently.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, and familiarity with machine learning algorithms for clustering and predictive analytics is a plus.
- Experience with product or customer lifecycle management and assortment planning.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of distilling complex topics and information into concise, actionable insights.
- Ability to see the bigger picture across multiple functions and variables.
