Lyra Technology Group is looking for a full-time Project Engineer (Level III) to join the team at one of our operating companies, in Tampa, Florida. The Project Engineer is able to perform high level multiple engineering-IT project related tasks in various assignments. This opportunity will also be expected to fulfill a role of leadership and mentoring to all Project Engineer team-mates.

Your work as the Project Engineer (Level III) includes several components:


• Performs engineering design evaluations and works to complete projects within budget.• Educated on industry policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory.• Provides technical escalation support and mentoring to help desk members after confirmation of escalation processes.• Takes action to resolve issues and minimize delays while also keeping PM aware. • Engage all Project Stakeholders on status of all scheduled technical tasks completed and next steps. • Document all projects throughout delivery.

• Collaborate with internal project team members regarding status, milestones, risks.• Update KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) for individual and team contribution and insight. • Continuing knowledge of hardware, software, networking, applications, and systems engineering.• Display leadership, professionalism, and encouragement. • Work closely in a team environment with pre-sales engineers, project managers and vertical teams.

Our ideal Project Engineer (Level III) has the following qualifications:


• 5-8 years of experience as IT Project Engineer or equivalent.• Experience planning, designing, building and migrating the following competencies: o Firewall – Routing and Switching VPN and VLAN architecture o M365 App and Service Migration - Email, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams o Server Virtualization- Azure IaaS, VMWare, and Hyper-V o Windows Server management and deployment o Local and Offsite Backup Technologies o idP-Multifactor authentication and single sign on o Endpoint Detection and Protection software and EDR tools• Able to communicate meet schedule deadlines.

• Excellent organizational and coordination abilities with strong problem-solving skills.• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.• Flexibility to meet continuously changing priorities and challenges.If joining a goal-oriented team and stepping into a role of leadership is appealing to you, let’s have a conversation.
