Position Profile:
As a leader in providing security, compliance, and infrastructure solutions for our clients, RKON is seeking a motivated individual to lead us in the expansion of our services practice. This role will report to the VP of Business Development with impact on the overall business and its wider relationships. This is a great career path to a revenue-generating role with quarterly goals.

Responsibilities:
- Support the sales team through the full business development cycle from prospecting and qualifying to close.
- Monitor inbound client requests, coordinate timely responses with multiple internal teams, and facilitate completion of client deliverables.
- Conduct market and industry research while qualifying potential clients and the decision makers within the client organization.
- Coordinate and attend meetings, trade associations, conferences, industry events or other means of generating interest from potential clients. There is a focus on targeting private equity investors or private equity backed companies.
- Work cross functionally with technical staff and other internal colleagues to drive continuous improvement in lead quality, conversion rates, and pipeline generation.
- Support business development and strategic initiatives through reporting, analyzing pipeline trends and working with leaders across the firm to meet and exceed sales goals.
- Maintain and update data in the CRM system with a focus on accuracy and optimize operational efficiencies.
- Collaboratively work with the marketing team to create presentation materials for prospective and existing client meetings.
- Complete questionnaires, RFPs, and due diligence requests from clients and prospects with support from the technical team.
- Perform ad hoc projects as assigned.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- BA/BS with 1-5 years of sales experience with a proven record of success in a client-facing role
- Strong interpersonal skills, glass half full mentality
- Excellent listening, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Demonstrated analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter attitude and ability to exercise judgment and solve difficult problems without direct supervision
- Exposure/understanding working with CRM system
- Experience collaborating and building relationships with both internal resources and external resources
- Experience presenting to and coordinating senior level meetings, including preparation of agendas, documenting meeting minutes, sending out documents to attendees
- Professional exposure to private equity, preferred
- Self-starter who is comfortable working independently and in a team environment
- Chicago, IL work location preferred, qualified candidates for Boston, MA will be considered.
