This individual will work closely with the sales leadership team and executive management to develop strategies, coach team members, and ensure the successful execution of business development activities to drive business growth. - Leadership and Strategy:
- Develop and implement business development strategies to drive lead generation.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of business development efforts to overall business objectives and goals.
- Leverage data analytics to identify trends and opportunities for business optimization.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
- Team Management:
- Manage, mentor, and inspire the business development team to achieve individual and business targets.
- Oversee the distribution and balancing of workloads among the business development team in accordance with established workflows and job specializations.
- Provide individualized coaching and development for team members, focusing on call approaches and best practices.
- Foster a culture of high performance and cross functional collaboration.
- Performance and Metrics:
- Establish and maintain high activity levels, including call volume, connects, and appointment bookings.
- Monitor team performance metrics, ensuring achievement of goals related to areas such as activities, calls, and show rates.
- Provide regular performance reports and insights to the Chief Sales Officer (CSO).
- Process Improvement:
- Continuously improve and streamline the sales process, ensuring thorough follow-through and completion of tasks.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate data in CRM systems such as Salesforce, SalesLoft, and HubSpot.
- Identify and implement best practices for sales and business development.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Must-Haves:
- BA/BS degree
- At least 7+ years of experience in a sales leadership role, with a minimum of 3+ years supervising an inside sales team.
- Proven track record in a high-volume, cold-call sales environment, including objection handling and qualifying decision-makers.
- Extensive experience with CRM software, such as Salesforce, SalesLoft, and/or HubSpot.
- Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to operate as a self-starter.
- Nice-To-Haves:
- Experience in a digital marketing agency, particularly in selling digital marketing services.
- Prior experience in training and onboarding inside sales teams.
- Knowledge of the automotive industry.
