Digital Engagement Specialist Job Description
The Digital Engagement Specialist is responsible for the planning, creation, execution, and deployment of digital engagement programs for the People Strategy initiatives and learning and development. We are seeking a dynamic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses exceptional attention to detail. As a multitasker, you will be responsible for crafting impactful concepts that resonate with target audiences. Your work includes content creation, maintenance, and communications across multiple initiatives.
Digital Engagement Specialist Responsibilities
- Create and execute learning and development content strategies to support strategic learning and development initiatives extending across the IT workforce (employees and contractors).
- Use performance metrics and analytics to inform creative decisions, content development and improved engagement with a target audience.
- Manage ongoing L&D information builds utilizing best practices to drive increased engagement and strategy adoption.
- Responsible for creation and development of L&D content, including newsletter, in-house production, script development and storyboards.
- Design and develop visually engaging communications, interactive content, and digital experiences using PowerPoint, Articulate, Storyline, Canva, MS SharePoint sites, and other relevant tools.
- Collaborate with our team to align content with our objectives and brand guidelines.
- Researches, creates, and edits online materials; creates graphics, layout, and design of new web materials; trains employees on use of CHES websites; monitors and reports on website usage and statistics.
- Incorporate multimedia elements, animations, and interactivity to enhance audience engagement, comprehension, and learning outcomes.
- Market available training opportunities to the audience and providing the necessary information via LXP, LMS, MS SharePoint.
- Present and distribute communications to target audiences.
- Consults with project managers to assess impacts of project scope and implications throughout project timelines, including development of strategies, readiness assessments, development of training and communications.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other team members within the department and throughout the organization to assist in the growth of programs and company initiatives.
- Plan and schedule L&D communications in advance to ensure timely delivery.
- Transform complex concepts and ideas into clear, concise, and impactful visual narratives for presentations and digital content.
- Utilize best practices in digital storytelling and visual communication to ensure clarity and effectiveness of training content, newsletter, and training materials.
- Other Duties as Assigned
- Performs miscellaneous administrative duties in support of L&D objectives.
- Assumes additional projects and responsibilities in response to emerging issues.
Digital Engagement Specialist Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant communications and/or creative experience, training, or related field.
- Previous experience in writing and editing marketing content.
- Proven expertise in web and digital content creation, including video production, graphics design, and creative abilities.
- Experience using and maintaining internal communication tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with the following tools required: Adobe Creative Suite, LMS/LXP, Articulate, Storyline, Canva, and Microsoft Office suite including SharePoint sites, Stream, and Teams.
- Thorough knowledge of the fundamentals of design and user experience, including skill to design in an appealing, lively, and relevant way.
- Thorough understanding of technical language and requirements of the assigned work.
- Skilled in developing SharePoint sites and Learning Communications that align with organizational goals, incorporating clear and accurate content while maintaining a visually appealing and user-friendly design.
- Proficiency in using SharePoint News and other features that shows a strong understanding of design principles and techniques.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple due dates, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work with a high level of independence, innovation, and initiative with the willingness to implement new technologies and applications.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to complete assignments accurately and on time with a high attention to detail amidst frequent interruptions and shifting priorities.
- Strong writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail and grammar.
- Creative thinking and the ability to generate engaging content ideas.
